Provinces of Flevoland and Overijssel invest in passenger interests
Bus transport in the IJssel Vecht region is operated by bus company EBS, with the provinces as contracting authorities. It has become apparent that the current buses do not have enough seats, causing inconvenience to passengers. The provinces of Flevoland, Overijssel and EBS have therefore decided to jointly invest in seven additional long buses.
Currently, buses of 'normal' length are in service. These will be replaced by extra-long buses, also known as 'accordion buses'. These have a length of 18 metres and can therefore carry many more passengers. And that is in the interest of passengers.
