On Thursday, January 29, Kings Commissioner Arjen Gerritsen received the Azerbaijani ambassador for an introductory visit at the provincial government building in Lelystad. During a lunch, the commissioner spoke with Mr. Ahmadzada about his work as ambassador and the connections between the Netherlands and Azerbaijan. A presentation by Horizon Flevoland also highlighted the economic profile of the province.
Opportunities for Cooperation
Azerbaijan is heavily investing in the sustainability of water technology, food production, and wind energy. The knowledge and experience that the Province of Flevoland has in these areas offer opportunities for further cooperation. The meeting was considered a successful introduction.
