The Green Exit subsidy scheme for farmers has been reopened.
The subsidy is available for farmers in the Green Exit area: the region roughly located between Muiderberg, Abcoude, Loenen aan de Vecht, and Naarden. They can apply for this subsidy for the sustainability and diversification of their business.
Diversifying, improving, and making agricultural businesses sustainable
Through the “Implementation Regulation Agricultural Sector Green Exit”, farmers can apply for subsidies to diversify the economic basis of their business, for example, by selling regional products, receiving school classes and recreational visitors, or as a care farm. A contribution is also possible to make the meadows accessible for livestock and machinery by constructing parcel paths, dams, and bridges. Additionally, sustainable innovations can be funded through the subsidy scheme, for example, for the preservation and enhancement of biodiversity or the storage and production of sustainable energy.
€ 750,000 available
A total of € 750,000 is available for the 3 different themes. Allocation is done on a first come, first served basis. The subsidy scheme will stop when the total amount has been spent, and no later than May 12, 2026. On the page Agricultural Sector Green Exit North Holland, subsidy from the province, all conditions and possibilities of the scheme are listed.
Impulse with Green Exit Program
With the Green Exit program, the province aims to give an impulse to nature, agriculture, recreation, and the landscape in the Gooi and Vecht region. The national government made € 80 million available over 15 years ago as a counterbalance for the relocation and widening of the highways A6, A1, and A9. The subsidy scheme for farmers is part of this Green Exit program.
