The Province of Utrecht and the twenty involved municipalities are positive about the message from the trustee that part of the work of Profit from Your Home will be resumed. This is good news for both residents and insulation companies involved in the collective insulation actions in the Province of Utrecht.

In recent days, intensive consultations have taken place between the trustee, Province of Utrecht, and municipalities to ensure that residents and entrepreneurs are not unnecessarily affected by the bankruptcy. Thanks to the continuation, scheduled work can proceed and payments are handled carefully.

Subsidies and payments

The Stichting Tussenrekening, which manages, among others, the NIP and Energy Poverty funds of municipalities, will ensure payment of work and subsidies during this continuation. This applies to both:

  • work already scheduled, and
  • existing subsidy applications from residents who have carried out measures independently and have already submitted a quote or invoice for this (the so-called declaration route).

This arrangement ensures that residents and contractors are not financially disadvantaged while working on a possible restart of Profit from Your Home.

Follow-up

The trustee is currently exploring possibilities for a restart. If successful, previously canceled energy advice can also be resumed. More clarity is expected within two weeks. The Province of Utrecht and the involved municipalities remain in close contact with the trustee and are positive about a restart, so that sustainability in our province can continue as much as possible.
