Clinical Diagnostics LCPL, an external laboratory where DJI conducts tissue research for detainees, has recently been hit by a cyber attack. Personal and medical data of former detainees are involved in the data breach.

At the request of the medical service, tissue research was conducted for the former detainees whose data was leaked, during their detention in a DJI facility, between 2022 and 2025. The collected tissue samples were sent to Clinical Diagnostics for analysis. The results were then shared with the individuals concerned. The breach has no impact on the results of these studies.

So far, this involves 253 former detainees. DJI deeply regrets this situation and values careful communication. Therefore, all those involved will receive a letter from DJI this week, along with an information letter from Clinical Diagnostics regarding the cyber attack. These letters will be provided to both detainees who are still in custody and to those who have since been released, as far as DJI can reach them.

DJI has chosen to suspend cooperation with the affected laboratory and switch to another laboratory. This ensures that medical investigations continue.
