The KIC call “High performance materials for Defense and security” invites researchers, public and private organizations to submit research proposals on new materials for use by Defense. Reducing the ecological footprint of materials and production techniques plays an important role in this.
What should the Defense equipment of the future look like? To modernize Defense equipment, new high-performance materials and production methods are of great importance. These materials must withstand harsh conditions such as extreme weather. In addition, they must be easy to repair and more energy-efficient than current materials. This Call invites consortia to develop knowledge about these new materials, specifically for use by Defense. This call aims to contribute to the increased deployability of Defense and the safety of its personnel. These materials should also make Defense less dependent on fossil fuels.
