The ICT outage that the Public Prosecution Service experienced significant disruptions from last week has been resolved. In recent days, efforts were made to solve the problems. During the recovery work on Wednesday, an estimated 1300 employees could not log into the secure Public Prosecution Service work environment.
Criminal hearings also experienced disruptions on Wednesday. The fact that some hearings could not take place or had to be rescheduled is extremely unfortunate for all involved and for the administration of justice.
Renewal of ICT Facilities
The Public Prosecution Service has been struggling for several years with an outdated ICT infrastructure. There are regular disruptions in the systems or with external parties, which among other things cause slowness in the Public Prosecution Service work environment. In recent years, much has been invested in renewing the ICT facilities, and this will continue to be the case in the coming years.
