The hospitality venue came into focus in a long-running investigation into drug trafficking. This investigation is still ongoing.

On Tuesday evening, the police raided the property on Prinsegracht. Around 7:15 PM, a 51-year-old man from The Hague was arrested in the hospitality venue. Above apartments were also searched, and a 22-year-old woman was arrested. They are being questioned.

Undermining

Drug trafficking and money laundering are common forms of undermining. Perpetrators are often drawn into criminal paths that are difficult to leave. Drug trafficking can lead to intimidation and extortion. Another consequence is that vulnerable neighborhoods become even more vulnerable as criminals take control. Together with our partners, we do everything to combat drug trafficking and money laundering and to track down and arrest members of criminal organizations.

What you can do

If you see a suspicious situation or suspect criminal activities, report it to the police via 112 (emergency) or 0900-8844 (non-emergency). If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can report via 0800-7000 (Report Crime Anonymously).

Report Crime Anonymously is an independent reporting point where citizens can anonymously share information about crime. This information can help combat crime, for example in the form of drug trafficking. It ensures that information reaches the police and other investigative agencies while keeping the reporter anonymous. Every report, even about the smallest detail, can make a difference.
