The smell of rotten fish was overwhelming when officers entered the business premises on August 8, 2024. It quickly became clear that the frozen fish had been cut open and then filled with cocaine. Loose bags of cocaine and a firearm were also found and seized. The subsequent investigation led to the four men, who are suspected of involvement in this shipment of cocaine. They were arrested in June of this year.
Preliminary Hearings
The four suspects have since appeared before the council chamber. Three suspects are being held for 90 days, and the fourth suspect has been released under strict conditions. One suspect was allowed to await his trial at home under strict conditions. The investigation into the origin of the drugs and who else is involved continues unabated. The police and the Public Prosecution Service do not rule out that more arrests will follow.
