At 8:00 PM, police received a report that the baby was unresponsive. Unfortunately, attempts to resuscitate the child were unsuccessful. The mother was arrested at the home. The father was later arrested that evening at another location in Rotterdam. A 3-year-old girl who was also present in the Lisztlaan home has been taken to safety elsewhere.

Investigation
The cause of death and the circumstances leading up to the babys death are being investigated. To do this as carefully as possible, a Major Investigation Team (TGO) has been established. This means that a team of about twenty detectives is handling this investigation, under the direction of the Public Prosecution Service.
