Officers were approached shortly after half past nine by a man, who turned out to be the property owner, who said he had found an injured man in an apartment. The colleagues then found the man, who was deceased. We are considering that the man is a victim of a crime. Therefore, the apartment was sealed off as a crime scene and we started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The victim is a 69-year-old man from Uden.

Arrest
A second man who was present in the apartment and is likely residing there was arrested and taken to the police station. We are investigating his possible role in the death of the other man. He is a 46-year-old Polish man without a permanent residence in the Netherlands.

Investigation
The forensic investigation in and around the apartment has already included a large part of the night and will certainly take another day or possibly several days. Of course, we will look for camera footage in the area and conduct neighborhood inquiries. We urge anyone who may have information that can help us gain clarity to come forward.
