From June 3 to June 20, 2025, Rijkswaterstaat will carry out night works on the A6 between Lelystad-North and Almere-Buiten East towards Almere. Expect diversions and extra travel time of up to 30 minutes.
During 9 evenings and nights, a part of the roadway will be renewed, detection loops will be replaced, and new markings will be applied. The highway will be closed in sections between the Urk entrance (13) and the Almere-Oostvaarders exit (8).
Closures towards Almere and diversions
On the nights of June 3-4, 4-5, and 5-6, the A6 will be closed from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM from Urk to Lelystad-North. Traffic will be diverted via junction Emmeloord, the N50, exit Kampen (32), and the N307 to access the A6 at the Lelystad-North entrance (11). On the nights of June 10-11, 11-12, and 12-13, there will be night closures (7:00 PM to 5:00 AM) of the A6 between Lelystad-North and Lelystad. Traffic will be diverted via exit Lelystad-North (11), the N307, Binnenhavenweg, Oostranddreef, and Larserweg to access the A6 at the Lelystad entrance (10).
On the nights of June 17-18, 18-19, and 19-20, there will be night closures (7:30 PM to 5:00 AM) of the A6 between Lelystad and Almere-Oostvaarders. Traffic will be diverted via exit Lelystad, the N302, N706, and the Almere-Hout entrance (37) to access the A27 to access the A6 via junction Almere.
Life-Extending Maintenance
The works are part of a broader maintenance program on the A6 between Bant and Almere-Buiten, which runs until October 9, 2025. Where necessary, road sections will be resurfaced, joints renovated, detection loops replaced, and markings reapplied to ensure the quality and safety of the highway.
