Invitation to Open House Meeting on Concept Plan for Nature-Friendly Bank in Berlicum
We are developing a design proposal for a nature-friendly bank along the Wambergsche Beek in Berlicum, within the municipality of Sint-Michielsgestel. Residents, area users, and other interested parties are cordially invited to the open house meeting on March 26 between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM at Dorpshuis De Moerkoal. The concept plan will be explained, and you can provide any points of concern.
What does this mean for the area?
The bank of the Wambergsche Beek is currently steep in some places. We aim to make the bank less steep in several locations. By creating a gradual transition from land to water, more space is created for plants and animals in and along the water. This results in greater natural diversity and contributes to cleaner water.
Additionally, we will enhance parts of the bank by planting shrubs and trees and sowing species-rich grassland.
Together, these measures will provide more living space for plants and animals in and around the stream.
