The European Union and Barbados have launched the Renewstable Barbados project, a green hydrogen storage initiative integrating solar power for a steady and clean energy supply in Barbados. In collaboration with French company HDF Energy, the project addresses energy infrastructure challenges by using advanced European technology. The European Investment Bank supports the initiative with guarantees and investment grants. The project is a vital part of the EU-Caribbean energy partnership, with commitments to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030.
