In collaboration with Veilig Verkeer Nederland (VVN), the municipality of Almere is organizing a free driving refresher course for people aged 65 and older. In recent years, road use has changed significantly. New modes of transport such as the e-bike are using the road, there are new traffic rules, and traffic situations have become more complicated. Think of intersections, turbo roundabouts, rush hour lanes, new markings, and more.
Safe Participation in Traffic
The driving refresher course consists of 2 meetings. During these meetings, an instructor will update participants on the latest developments, so you can remain mobile and safely participate in traffic. There is ample opportunity to ask questions and share personal experiences.
The course takes place at community center Het Boegbeeld, Prozastraat 121, 1321 GZ Almere-Literatuurwijk on:
- Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM and
- Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM
Practical Ride
Additionally, you can take a practical ride in your own car on October 14, 2025, where you will receive personal advice on your driving style. The cost for participating in a practical ride is € 15.
