Large Waste Mountain of Diapers
Children are nowadays becoming potty trained later, on average only around their third birthday. In the 1940s, it was around their first year. This difference results in a lot of waste: in Amersfoort, nearly ten million diapers end up in residual waste every year, accounting for over 1,600 tons.
