During the summer recess, he contracted a severe pneumonia, and he has not fully recovered yet.Henri Lenferink served as the mayor of Leiden from 2003 to 2023. After that, he was the acting commissioner of the King in the province of Gelderland for a year and a half.

Henri Lenferink Acting Mayor of Amersfoort
Henri Lenferink has been appointed as the acting mayor of Amersfoort. He will serve in this role until Lucas Bolsius has sufficiently recovered and can resume his duties as mayor.
