  • brush your teeth.

Tips and Useful Information

How Long Will the Boiling Water Advisory Last?

Vitens is working hard on a solution and continues to test the drinking water. You will be notified by Vitens when boiling your drinking water is no longer necessary. You will receive an update by Thursday, January 8 at the latest.

Why Another Boiling Water Advisory?

Vitens tests drinking water daily at various locations. In previous boiling water advisories in Amersfoort, bacteria were found in specific neighborhoods. In other places, the drinking water was clean. There were also no works or other events that posed extra risk.

Unfortunately, bacteria were found at a different production location during a new test. This location supplies drinking water to a large part of Amersfoort and surroundings. Therefore, Vitens is issuing a new boiling water advisory for a larger area.
