Between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM, the power grid is especially busy. At that time, everyone turns up the heating, switches on the lights, and cooks dinner. With this measure, you can still charge during these hours, but it takes a bit longer for the battery to be full. By using less power simultaneously, we ensure there is space left on the power grid.
Slower Charging
Slower charging applies only during the peak on the power grid on weekdays. Before 4:00 PM and after 9:00 PM, nothing changes. If you plug your car into the charging station in the evening and charge it overnight, it will be fully charged in the morning. Currently, only the public charging stations of Park&Charge(link is external) participate in Amersfoort. More information about the new arrangement is available on the charging companys website. If it is really necessary, you can indicate that you want to charge at normal power. How this works is also explained on the companys website.
Help Out Too!
You help by charging your car as much as possible outside the busiest moments on the power grid, whether at a public charging station or at home.
