The heating water of a central heating boiler is often set between 60 and 80 degrees. In some homes, such a high temperature is needed to warm up quickly, for example with less effective insulation. But many homes remain comfortably warm even at 50 degrees. You can try this out with the heating test. If your house still feels warm, it is probably already ready for natural gas-free living with a heat pump. If not, additional insulation is a smart first step.
