An overview of the polling stations is available on the candidate list you received at home and on the elections webpage

Low-Stimulus Polling Station

The polling station at the Oude Stadhuis on Stadhuisplein 5 is low-stimulus. For people dealing with complaints such as burnout, anxiety disorders, or autism. And for people who simply want to vote in peace and quiet.

Accessible Polling Station

For people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing, or have another disability, voting is possible at one of the 5 extra accessible polling stations. These have additional facilities such as tactile guidance lines, a voting template, and Soundbox, an extra-wide voting booth, or a lowered ballot box.

The following polling stations are extra accessible and open from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

  • Sint Joriskerk, Hof 1
  • De Veerensmederij (Holland Opera) Soesterweg 330
  • Kerkgebouw de Bron, Vogelplein 1
  • Leger des Heils, Albert Schweitzersingel 69
  • Hart van Vathorst, Angelinapolder 3

There are also a few special voting locations. You can vote at the Meander Hospital between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM and at Amersfoort Central Station between 7:30 AM and 9:00 PM.

Identification Requirement

Identification is required for the election. So bring a valid ID (passport, identity card, or drivers license) along with your voting pass. An ID may be expired for up to five years.

If You Cannot Vote Yourself

If you cannot vote yourself, you can grant a proxy to someone else. This person may then cast your vote on your behalf. On the back of the voting pass, you can fill in the name of the person who will vote for you (the authorized person). This can be anyone living in Amersfoort who has also received a voting pass.

It is important that this person does not have more than two proxies and casts your vote simultaneously with their own vote. The authorized person must also bring a copy of your ID. This may also be a photo on a phone or tablet.

Counting Votes

After the polling stations close, we count all votes per party. The counting results are recorded in an official report. On Thursday, we recount all ballots and also count how many votes each candidate received.

This central counting takes place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM at Sporthal Zielhorst, Trompetstraat 3 in Amersfoort. The counting of votes is public; you are welcome to watch.
