Municipal Health Insurance with Univé
The municipalities of Amersfoort and Leusden have signed a contract with Univé. This health insurer offers a choice of three packages: low, medium, and high. Depending on the care that residents need and what they want to insure. Univé accepts everyone who qualifies for this insurance without a medical check. The Municipal Health Insurance is a comprehensive insurance. Physiotherapy, dental care, and glasses are also included. Children under 18 are insured for free.
Switching on Your Own
Residents who previously had the Municipal Health Insurance with the former insurer (DSW) can switch to Univé to receive the discount. They will receive a letter from the municipality explaining the new Municipal Health Insurance and how they can switch.
Switching Information Sessions
Starting November 19, information and switching sessions will also be organized at various locations in Amersfoort and Leusden in collaboration with Univé, Indebuurt033, and Lariks. The dates and locations of these sessions will be announced soon via City Reports and on the website www.amersfoort.nl/zorgverzekering.
Registration or switching can be done from November 19 until December 31, 2025, via the website www.gezondverzekerd.nl/amersfoort(link is extern). More information about the various packages of the Municipal Health Insurance from Univé will also be available starting November 13.
