More and more residents of Amsterdam and Weesp are using the Amsterdam App to quickly arrange matters with the municipality. Since its launch in March 2024, the app has been downloaded over 100,000 times. With the app, you literally have municipal information and services at your fingertips.

You can easily find practical information about your neighborhood, from waste collection and parking to street works. You can also report issues in public spaces, for example if something is broken or needs cleaning. The chat function also allows you to quickly contact the municipality.

New features

Since the launch, two important new features have been added. Through the app you can:

  • Start discounted parking sessions for your visit;
  • Use the City Pass digitally, so you always have your pass and discounts at hand.

The app helps residents and municipality

The app helps the municipality respond to reports more quickly. Alderman Hester van Buren (Services) says: “The app helps residents quickly arrange or look up something, but using the app also helps us as a municipality to keep the neighborhood cleaner, intact, and safe. Because thanks to the reports, we know where to clean up or repair.”

Increasingly used

  • The Amsterdam App is now intensively used. Some notable figures:
  • Parking: since July, 116,341 parking sessions have been started via the app, with more than 12,500 transactions weekly.
  • City Pass: since March 2025, the digital City Pass has been shown 63,000 times.
  • Public space reports: 122,242 reports have been made via the app – accounting for 19 percent of all reports in 2025.
  • Waste guide: consulted 92,928 times.
  • Works: searched 41,046 times for information about city works.

Continuously developing
