On Saturday, March 29, during National Compost Day, we will distribute free compost at multiple locations in the city. You do not need to return anything to collect compost. Make sure to arrive on time, as supplies are limited.

A true vitamin bomb
The vegetable, fruit, food scraps, and garden waste (gfe/t) that Amsterdammers separate gets a second life as compost. Compost is a natural soil improver. This dark, crumbly substance is created when vegetable, fruit, food scraps, and garden waste decompose. It is full of nutrients and helps plants, flowers, and vegetables grow better. A true vitamin bomb for your garden or balcony.
Composting Yourself?
Want to make compost yourself? You can do this at home with a compost bin or worm hotel. You can also drop off your vegetable, fruit, food scraps, and garden waste at a composting initiative in your area. On Saturday, March 29, you can take a look at several locations.
