Do you live or work in Amsterdam? Until the end of October, you can take advantage of discounts on shared scooters and cargo bikes. This way, you can leave the car behind and avoid the work in and around the city.
You can take advantage of the discount actions via Amsterdam Bereikbaar. The action applies to residents and commuters to and from Amsterdam and can be activated until October 6. You can use the discount until October 31.
More shared transport
The use of shared transport is growing rapidly. Shared scooters and cargo bikes are a very popular transportation alternative. Due to high demand and extensive use, it has been decided to increase the number of shared scooters in the city from 1,200 to 1,500, with additional supply in the districts of Nieuw-West, Noord, and Zuidoost. On the Shared Transport Map Amsterdam, you can see where shared transport is offered near you.
Events in the city
Shared transport is also handy during events. No hassle of where to park the car or waiting in line. On June 21, the day of the festival Op de Ring, nearly 12,000 rides were made with the shared scooter and cargo bike. That is more than ever made in one day. This summer, there are still a few big events on the agenda, including Sail 2025. You can also come here using shared transport.
Avoiding traffic disruption
Additionally, you can avoid traffic disruptions with shared scooters and cargo bikes. This summer, there are many works taking place in and around the city, including on large parts of the A10 ring road by Rijkswaterstaat. By leaving the car behind and traveling differently with a discount, you will hopefully experience less inconvenience.
