Join the Elevation Group Run on Saturday, June 21: a 7.5-kilometer run on the car-free A10. Everyone can participate: young or old, experienced runner or beginner. A unique opportunity to celebrate 750 years of Amsterdam by running.
The Run on the Ring marks the start of the festival On the Ring, one of the highlights of Amsterdam 750.
Route
The route starts at exit S113 Watergraafsmeer, makes a short loop over the A2, and ends festively at the RAI (exit S109). This run is all about the experience: participating is more important than winning. Along the route, music from DJs plays and spectators cheer you on enthusiastically.
Registration
The run is co-organized by Le Champion, known from the Dam to Dam Run. Registration opens on April 3 on the website of Run On the Ring. Be quick! With the City Pass, you get over 70 percent off the registration fee.
The best part is that you can also run for a good cause. So you are not only running for yourself but also for someone else. Everyone is welcome. Do you have a disability and need extra support? Then the Special Run is there just for you.
From parades to proposal spot
Festival On the Ring is taking shape. The producer is collaborating with Amsterdam organizations on a festive and varied program. The festival area will be divided into zones, with something for everyone. Including:
- a sports and games zone
- art and culture stages
- musical performances
- colorful parades
And there is more. Think of special moments like Weddings On the Ring and a special spot for a marriage proposal. Need to rest? You can do so in a temporary forest, planted with donated trees that will later have a permanent place in the city. This is just a small glimpse of what will be experienced on and around the A10. The entire program will be announced on May 21.
