The recruitment and selection process for a new municipal secretary and general director has unfortunately not yet led to an appointable candidate. Therefore, on September 1, Thea de Vries will start as an acting officer in this role until a definitive municipal secretary is appointed.

De Vries is currently the city director of Space and Economy and a member of the municipal management team. The municipal management team is the highest decision-making body of the civil service organization.
Municipal Secretary
The municipal secretary is the general director of the civil service organization and the first advisor to the board of Mayor and Aldermen. It is the highest official of the municipality.
