There is a heavy snowfall in the city. Because of this, some things are a bit different than usual.

Please take note of the following:

Waste Collection and Christmas Trees

On Tuesday, January 6, we will collect as much waste as possible. This applies to all types of waste. We do what we can, but safety comes first. Main roads present few problems; in narrow streets and at bends, we are cautious. Due to these limitations, we ask you to keep Christmas trees and bulky waste indoors as much as possible or bring them to a Recycling Point. The Recycling Points are open.

Litter

At the moment, we cannot sweep litter. Trash bins are sometimes emptied. The cleaners assist with ice control. They are spreading grit at bus stops, stairs, bridges, sidewalks near hospitals, and bike routes near schools.

Ice Control

When it snows, we clear the roads with the help of snow plows. More about what we do against ice and what you can do yourself can be read at Snowplows ready for the winter cold.

What’s next?

On Wednesday, January 7, we will review the situation again and provide new information.
