Breda has officially been awarded the title of National Park City. This was celebrated yesterday at various locations in the city. Mayor Paul Depla, along with a delegation from the city, received the title from the National Park City Foundation in London.
National Park City is a global movement of people working towards more greenery and biodiversity in their cities. The goal is to have at least 25 National Park Cities within a few years. Breda receives the title because residents, entrepreneurs, and the municipality have been collaborating intensively for a long time to make the city greener, healthier, and more natural.
