The Breda city council has adopted the Park Farms Plan. With this, the municipality opts for a structural, future-oriented approach to petting farms and animal pastures. They will be further developed into green meeting places that will have an important role in the city. The plan ends temporary solutions and clearly defines who is responsible for what. This creates more stability and perspective for the volunteer boards. With the plan, the municipality lays an important foundation to attract new board members and volunteers from neighborhoods and villages.
Alderman Peter Bakker (Nature Development and Animal Welfare): “Running a petting farm is a demanding task. That is why we are pleased that Wolfslaar can professionally support the other park farms with expertise in animal welfare and operations. Compliments to everyone who collaborated to achieve this. The foundation boards gain more clarity with this plan, creating a more attractive perspective for volunteers to participate. We already see many positive reactions, and hopefully more will follow!”
