The third day of carnival was calmer than usual due to the snowfall and went smoothly. The lively crowd was mainly found at the Grote Markt with various performances and during the Kravattentocht in Vismarktstraat. In the evening, the wintry weather ensured a steady outflow of visitors.

Parades in the villages went well

Despite the weather conditions, the parades in Prinsenbeek (Boemeldonck), Bavel (Baviaonenland), Ulvenhout (Bosuilendorp), and Princenhage (’t Aogje) went well and festive.

City center organizers ended earlier as a precaution

Due to the snowfall, some organizers chose to end their outdoor activities earlier. This was done as a precaution and with the safety of visitors in mind, a consideration we understand and support.

Quiet evening for emergency services

For first aid and other emergency services, including police and enforcement, it was a quiet evening. Despite the cold and snow, reports of hypothermia remained limited.
