After more than a year of intensive negotiations, the Municipality of Breda and NAC Breda have reached an agreement on the future of the Rat Verlegh Stadium. The municipality leases the football section of the stadium to NAC Breda and sells eight business units to the club. This marks an important step towards a future-proof stadium and a healthier future for NAC Breda.
The leasehold arrangement allows NAC Breda to act as the owner. This gives NAC Breda more control and also room to invest in the maintenance and development of the stadium. For the municipality, the agreement means a business partnership with clear responsibilities. The leasehold agreement runs until June 30, 2065. The annual ground rent (lease payment) amounts to 20ac280,000 and is indexed annually. The business apartments are purchased by NAC Breda for an amount of 20ac3.2 million.
