The municipality of Breda presents a new policy framework for the Social Support Act (Wmo), which will provide direction for sustainable, accessible, and future-proof support over the next four to six years. Breda is opting for a course change: less emphasis on individual provisions, more on collective strength, strategic collaboration, and self-reliance. The policy framework is based on three pillars that together form the substantive core of the course for the coming years. These pillars reinforce each other: they enhance the resilience of residents, stimulate strategic collaboration and expertise, and ensure sharper steering within the Wmo.
