On November 10, 2025, the cabinet announced that Breda will again receive a substantial contribution from the national government for the development of the new ’t Zoet district. This amounts to €24.5 million from the so-called Area Budget. This investment confirms that Breda is among the priority areas where the national government wants to accelerate progress. These funds are intended for area-specific measures necessary to meet the housing construction targets in CrossMark and ’t Zoet. This brings the total national contribution for CrossMark and ’t Zoet to €101.3 million.

In 2023, Breda already received €49.7 million from the Mobility Fund for infrastructure in and around ’t Zoet, and €27.1 million from the Area Budget for area development. These contributions underline the importance the national government attaches to this development.
