Breda is growing, and with it, the pressure on public space increases. To keep the city welcoming, green, safe, and accessible for everyone, the Municipality of Breda has updated the terrace rules. The new terrace regulation provides space for entrepreneurs while ensuring a good balance between terraces and accessibility for all.
Research shows that 28 percent of tourists in Breda visit a terrace; for 5 percent, it is even the main reason for coming to the city. The current terrace rules were over 20 years old: much has changed during that time.
