If you are in the car and nearing the school zone of a Breda primary school, you can expect a warning starting in March. After a successful national trial, Breda has decided to participate in this system. This means that schools share information about the location and school hours. Service providers distribute this information through multiple apps and navigation systems. Thus, drivers receive a warning when approaching a school zone and crossing children. The zones on the street must be recognizable by means of signs. Alderman van Vliet placed the first sign at the Dirk van Veenschool on Friday, March 14. On that day, the school starts its traffic week, which also focuses on the traffic situation around the school.
