During the closing of the jubilee year, Music Association Eendracht was entered into the Golden Book of the Municipality of Deventer. The association also received the silver honorary medal.
Cultural Contributions
On March 1, 1925, the music association was founded in Colmschate. Over the past century, it has made important cultural contributions to the Deventer community. The music association annually participates in the memorial in Colmschate and at the Grote Kerkhof. Additionally, it performs at nursing homes, the Flora shopping center, Avond4Daagse, Deventer Open Podium, and gives Christmas concerts.
Golden Book
It is the municipal council that, as a sign of appreciation, can decide to mention a citizen, company, or institution in the Golden Book. This is accompanied by awarding an honorary medal. The Golden Book of Deventer has existed since 1945. The first person entered in the Golden Book was Thomas Graeme Gibson (1908-1986), the Canadian army officer under whose command Deventer was liberated.
