What makes Deventer hospitable and livable? Join the conversation!

A hospitable and livable city is also a well-accessible city. That means space for everyone: pedestrians, cyclists, cars, and buses, as well as appropriate parking and storage facilities for cars and bicycles. 

In a pleasant city center and the neighborhoods directly around it, residents and workers want to feel comfortable and safe. Therefore, the municipality wants to prioritize walking, cycling, and public transport over cars. By giving priority to walking, cycling, and public transport, we can not only reduce traffic pressure in the city center and surrounding neighborhoods but also contribute to a healthier, more environmentally friendly, and hospitable living environment. 

From January 12 to 25, you can participate in thinking about a livable city center and surrounding neighborhoods by giving your opinion via a questionnaire. This helps us make plans that fit different ways of traveling and what suits Deventer and its residents. After completing the questionnaire, you will see which type of traveler you are based on your answers.
