Since January 2, residents of the Municipality of Ede can have their travel documents conveniently delivered, for example at home or at work. With this additional service, residents no longer need to pick up the document at the town hall. This service costs 5 euros and is available for passports and identity cards; driving licenses are not included.
Convenience for residents
The option to have documents delivered can be selected when residents apply for a new travel document at the town hall. To apply, residents must visit the town hall. The service is an additional option and is not mandatory; delivery costs 5 euros per travel document.
Delivery at a convenient time
Delivery takes place on weekdays between 08:00 and 21:00 and on Saturdays between 08:00 and 18:00. Residents choose the day, time, and address where they want to receive the travel document. During the appointment at the municipality, the counter staff explains how to schedule the delivery appointment.
Alderman Versteeg was present at the delivery of the first travel document and is pleased with this option: “With this extra service, residents can choose whether they want their travel document delivered at home or, for example, at work. Many residents work during the day or have other obligations. Therefore, it is nice to be able to choose a time to receive the document, which saves a trip to the town hall!”
Safety comes first
Delivery is carried out by AMP Group, a special delivery service that already provides this service for many municipalities. During delivery, a personal check is always performed to ensure the correct person receives the document. More information about this new option can be found on our website.
