Mayor René Verhulst has awarded youth medals to children and young people from the municipality of Ede this year.
The youth medal De Pluim is an award for children and young people who have selflessly contributed to society or achieved a special accomplishment. A Pluim can also be awarded to children or teams who have become national or international champions in sports or culture.
- The Childrens Council of Ede has been active for over two years as an ambassador for the municipality of Ede. Lucie, Norine, and Dirk are very involved in their environment. They participated in media campaigns and openings and had a ceremonial role during events.
- Micky Stuurman plays in the childrens cast of ‘40-45, the Musical’ and after months of rehearsals, she now performs 1 (or sometimes 2) times a week in the Musical in Barneveld.
- Jimmy Berkhoff came third at the National Rhönrad Championships for juniors in Naaldwijk and then reached the top ten at the World Rhönrad Championships in Almere.
- Dance studio Imove team Rhythm became European Champion Showdance during the Dance stars in Kalkar (Germany).
- Damian Faasse is a finalist and is among the top three home bakers in the national TV baking competition Heel Holland Bakt Kids season 2024.
