On Saturday, April 5th, the exhibition I am Ede was festively opened in Ede. This impressive photo exhibition shows residents of Ede in places that are personally meaningful to them. The exhibition can be seen for the next two months in the photo studio of photographer Arjan van Bruggen, in the center of Ede.
A unique story
With I am Ede, inclusion is central. The photos show how diverse the Ede society is and how residents are connected to the municipality in their own way. From the silence of the Noord-Ginkel to the lively village heart of Lunteren: each image tells a unique story, supported by the personal words of the portrayed.
Versatile
Alderman Karin Bijl (inclusion) opened the exhibition and emphasized its importance: “This exhibition shows exactly what inclusion is about: whoever you are, wherever you come from, and whoever you love - everyone participates and everyone counts. The stories of our residents touch, connect, and make visible how rich and versatile our municipality is.”
The photo exhibition is an initiative of Opella, Malkander, Pro Persona, Cultuurrijke Zorg, CVVE, CHE, Stichting Sabiel, social team, African womens association, Somali association, and the municipality of Ede. Until June, the portraits can be viewed for free in the photo studio of Arjan van Bruggen, located at Grotestraat 131, in the center of Ede.
