Eindhoven focuses on more art and culture in neighborhoods

The Action Plan Culture 2025-2026 aims to make art and culture more accessible to all residents, regardless of their background or financial situation. The importance of culture in an urban environment cannot be underestimated. Culture connects, inspires, provides relaxation, and encourages reflection and personal development. In a growing city like Eindhoven, culture contributes to community spirit and a healthier urban life. By actively participating in, for example, music associations, dance groups, or community art projects, residents can discover their talents, express themselves, and connect with others.

The action plan supports cultural projects and activities in neighborhoods that make Eindhoven thrive with culture and contribute to livability.

With this action plan, we aim to make art and culture visible and accessible to every Eindhoven resident. Whether you actively participate or enjoy it, this plan contributes to the cultural offerings in the neighborhoods, says Alderman Saskia Lammers (Culture & Design) in Eindhoven. Culture has the power to inspire not only individuals but also to strengthen communities and contribute to an inclusive society.

As part of the action plan, a project for cultural creators in the Limbeek and Doornakkers neighborhoods is supported, accessible funding opportunities for cultural activities and projects in the neighborhood are expanded, and creative imagination in public spaces is stimulated through, for example, murals. The goal is to realize more art and culture close to residents so that they can be inspired and actively participate.
