The partners in the Southeast Brabant labor market region have signed a new cooperation agreement. This confirms that municipalities, employer and employee organizations, educational institutions, implementing organizations, and Brainport Development share joint responsibility for a future-proof labor market.
The labor market in the region is under pressure due to persistent shortages, mismatches between supply and demand, aging, and rapidly changing skills. These challenges require a joint approach. No single organization can solve this alone, says Alderman Lammers. By working together and building bridges, we create perspective for job seekers and employers.
The agreement sets a joint ambition towards 2028: a labor market region where talent is central, employers can grow, and everyone has perspective on work and development. Southeast Brabant aims to be a model region for smart, inclusive, and innovative labor market development.
This year the focus is on concrete implementation, including the Brainport Academy, programs in care & welfare and climate jobs, regional employer services, and the Southeast Brabant Work Center. The agreement is therefore not only an administrative arrangement but a basis for joint action, built on partnership, trust, and open communication. With this signing, the partners continue to build towards a shared goal: a labor market region that works for everyone.
