Entrepreneurs in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can now take advantage of a subsidy scheme that helps them make their businesses more accessible. With this scheme, the Municipality of Eindhoven supports entrepreneurs in improving physical, digital, and social accessibility for people with disabilities.

The subsidy is intended for one-time investments that increase accessibility: from shops and restaurants to sports locations and cultural institutions. Legal entities registered with the Chamber of Commerce can submit applications. Sole proprietorships are only eligible if they have employees.

Application and conditions

Entrepreneurs can now submit an application as long as the subsidy is available. The application must be submitted at least 13 weeks before the start of the activities. The scheme will close no later than October 1, 2026. There is a total budget of 250,000 euros.

Importance of the scheme

Councilor Samir Toub (Diversity & Inclusion): Eindhoven is a city where everyone should feel welcome. Whether you are visiting a shop, going to sports, or dining out. People should be able to move freely without unnecessary obstacles.

Councilor Robert Strijk (City Center) adds: No one should be excluded by a step or an inaccessible website. This subsidy gives entrepreneurs the chance to make that difference.
