Mayor Jos Wienen has closed 3 business premises in the Waarderpolder. Drugs and illegal fireworks were found in the premises.
At the premises on Emrikweg, there were 666 hemp plants. There was also a nursery with 168 cuttings, and a room where hemp was dried. Additionally, nearly 1,100 kilos of illegal fireworks were found.
Fire Hazard
Mayor Wienen: “The electricity needed for the nursery was illegally tapped. This increases the fire hazard in the premises. Combined with the large amount of illegal fireworks stored there, this makes the situation extremely dangerous.”
We close premises where drugs are found to remove them from the criminal circuit. Together with police and justice, we tackle organized crime and undermining.
