The Municipality of Haarlem, together with other municipalities and involved residents, was informed on November 3 about the bankruptcy filing of Winst uit je Woning: Samen inkopen B.V. This was unexpected, especially given the important role this organization has played in recent years in the Netherlands in making homes more sustainable.

We work in various ways to better insulate homes in Haarlem. For example, we support owners of owner-occupied homes specifically in insulating their houses. Last year, through a European tender, we chose Winst uit je Woning as a cooperation partner for this purpose.

What this means for residents

Winst uit je Woning carried out insulation actions on behalf of the municipality. Subsidies are available per home. The bankruptcy affects residents and involved parties who have dealings with Winst uit je Woning.

At this moment, we cannot yet say exactly what the consequences of the bankruptcy are and what this means for ongoing work.

What we do know is that it does not affect the subsidies available to homeowners. These subsidies are only paid out after the completion of work to Winst uit je Woning.

We are now investigating with the trustee what the consequences are for ongoing projects, agreements, and payments.

Our first priorities are that:

  • Residents are not financially disadvantaged.
  • Ongoing measures to make Haarlem homes more sustainable can continue as much as possible.

Working together to find solutions

We are unpleasantly surprised by this development and continue to work on solutions to continue making Haarlem homes more sustainable.

As soon as more clarity is available, those involved will be informed directly.
