We start the consultation on December 22, 2025, for the draft master plan Heart for Oostpoort. This plan outlines where space will be allocated for living, working, cycling, walking, greenery, water, and parking. You can view the plan until February 2, 2026, and submit your views during this period.
From December 22, 2025, the draft master plan will be available for inspection. Your feedback helps further develop the plans for Oostpoort.
Viewing
You can view the draft master plan at various locations: online via the project page, in the public hall of the town hall, and during walk-in consultation hours in the neighborhood. This way, you can choose what suits you best.
Responding
You can submit your views until February 2, 2026. On the Oostpoort Development project page, you can read how to respond and when the walk-in consultation hours are. Everyone can give feedback on the draft master plan during this period.
About Haarlem Oostpoort
The area around Haarlem Spaarnwoude station will develop into a new city district: Oostpoort. There will be space for living, working, and entrepreneurship. There will also be cycling and walking routes to the city, the beach, and the nature of Spaarnwoude and the Veerplas. The area will also become an important hub for bus and train.
Housing
The construction of the new district will take place in phases. The first 100 homes are now being built on Diakenhuisweg in the Zuiderpolder neighborhood. Construction of the remaining 800+ homes will start in 2028.
