On Friday, March 6, 2026, we are organizing an afternoon about historic Haarlem residential houses. Here you will discover the stories behind interiors from the period 1875-1945.
During the interior afternoon, you will learn more about old floors, paneling, fireplaces, stucco ceilings, wood carvings, stained glass windows, and tile tableaux. All these elements show how the people of Haarlem lived and worked in the past. They tell something about the architect, the maker, and the residents of that time.
Haarlem has many houses with valuable interiors. In the city, you will see styles such as Neo-Renaissance, Art Nouveau, Amsterdam School, and Art Deco. The afternoon will help you better recognize and understand these elements.
