The Christmas tree collection on Wednesday, January 7 is cancelled due to snow and icy conditions.

Employees of Spaarnelanden are busy cleaning roads, bike paths, and sidewalks. Therefore, there are no staff available to man the collection points and pick up the Christmas trees.

You can keep your Christmas tree inside or in the backyard until Wednesday, January 14. Trees will be collected then. The tree can also be handed in at the Milieuplein.  Note: due to snow, the Milieuplein is slippery. Despite salting, cars have difficulty climbing the slope. Please postpone your visit as much as possible. Visiting the Milieuplein is at your own risk.

Children up to and including 15 years old who hand in Christmas trees on Wednesday, January 14 will receive 20ac0.50 per tree. Haarlem residents older than 15 may also bring trees but will not receive money.

Beware of fire hazard

Do not collect Christmas trees in front yards or on the street. The fire department prohibits this due to fire hazard. Spaarnelanden will remove trees that are still on the street.
