It is slippery in Haarlemmermeer. There has been heavy snowfall. The municipality is taking extra measures to prevent or resolve dangerous situations. However, it is impossible to keep everything ice- and snow-free. Please take the conditions into account.

Measures

Meerlanden has gritted the main roads, bus routes, emergency service routes and main cycling routes. Additionally, extra equipment has been deployed and snow is being shoveled and brushed away. Hard work is underway to remove the worst snow. Please take the conditions into account and avoid traveling if not necessary. Also keep an eye on the weather reports in the coming hours.

Important waste collection message

Until Wednesday, January 7, due to slipperiness, Meerlanden cannot empty the mini containers/roll containers. Also, all recycling centers are closed on Monday, January 5. Please check the Meerlanden website for updates.

Update:

On Thursday, January 8, Meerlanden will collect mini containers/roll containers and bags on main (gritted) roads.

This means they will not enter neighborhoods where no gritting is done. Mini containers/roll containers and (underground) containers in bring parks will therefore not be emptied.

You can place your mini container/roll container at the road (gritting routes) for collection. The waste calendar on the website or in the Meerlanden app shows when they will come to which neighborhood.

Additional collection routes are also planned. These will be visible in the waste calendar on the website and in the app from the end of the week.
